Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and Pill Caller for using the app and its subscriptions.

Version 2026-09-26 · Effective September 26, 2026. The app records which version of these terms each account holder accepted.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pill Caller application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement to create an account. This page also serves as our Terms of Use (EULA) for the App Store and Google Play.

2. Plans, pricing, and extra people

Pill Caller offers two paid subscription tiers, billed monthly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable.

Standard is $19.99 per month for one reminder recipient, with up to 3 outbound calls per day and no custom voice recordings.

Plus is $29.99 per month for up to 3 different reminder recipients, with up to 6 outbound calls per day per recipient and the ability to record your own custom voice for calls.

Extra recipients are available on Plus only. Each additional recipient costs $15 per month, includes up to 3 outbound calls per day, and you may add up to 5 extra recipients to a single Plus subscription. If you need to remind more than 8 people in total, contact us at pillcaller.com/support.

Every call, on every plan, lasts at most 8 connected minutes.

3. Free trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial, run through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After you create an account, you start the trial yourself from the plan screen inside the application; no reminder calls are placed until you have started the trial.

During the trial, you receive full Plus-level access regardless of which plan you selected: up to 3 reminder recipients, up to 6 outbound calls per day per recipient, and the ability to record custom voices.

Two days before the trial ends, we notify you inside the application of which paid plan it will convert to and how to cancel. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to your selected paid plan and your Apple ID or Google Play account is charged the then-current price for that plan.

You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID subscriptions (apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) or your Google Play subscriptions (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions).

Each Apple ID or Google account is eligible for one Pill Caller free trial.

4. What the Service is

Pill Caller is a reminder and communication tool. It places scheduled telephone calls to a phone number you provide, reads back a script you have reviewed and approved in a synthetic voice or a voice you recorded yourself, and reports back whether the call was answered, optionally confirmed by keypad entry, or reached voicemail. The Service does not require the reminder recipient to install any software.

5. What the Service is not

The Service does not prescribe, dispense, administer, or verify the contents of any medication. It does not confirm that a correct medication or dosage was actually taken, only that a phone call was placed and, where you have chosen to enable optional keypad confirmation, that a key was pressed. The Service does not provide medical, pharmacological, or clinical advice, and does not replace a physician, pharmacist, nurse, home health aide, or family caregiver. The Service is not a medical-alert, emergency-response, or fall-detection system. In an emergency, always contact 911 or your local emergency number. Pressing "1" on a call records only that an optional keypad confirmation was entered; it is not proof of ingestion, dosage accuracy, or wellbeing.

6. Your responsibilities as the configuring user

You represent and warrant that: (a) you have the right to provide the recipient's telephone number and either the recipient has agreed to receive automated reminder calls or you hold legal authority to consent on their behalf; (b) all information you enter, including medication names, dosage instructions, schedules, and other reminder content, is accurate to the best of your knowledge and matches the applicable prescription label or clinician's directions; (c) you will promptly review and update reminders when instructions change; and (d) you understand that being a relative of the recipient does not, by itself, establish legal authority to consent on their behalf. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for verifying medication details against the original packaging, your pharmacist, or your clinician.

7. Recipient consent and withdrawal

Where possible, Pill Caller will attempt to obtain the recipient's direct consent through a one-time activation call before recurring reminders begin; the recipient may press 1 to agree or 2 to decline on that call. A recipient may withdraw consent at any time, including verbally during any call, after which future automated calls to that number will be suppressed. A recipient can also withdraw consent to all reminder calls, across every account, by calling our opt-out line at (779) 216-3016 from the phone that receives the calls and pressing 1, or by pressing 9 during any reminder call to ask the configuring user to stop the calls; in either case the configuring user is notified. Once a number has opted out this way, only the recipient can allow calls to resume. If a recipient cannot provide direct consent, the configuring user must complete an authorized-representative attestation, including their relationship to the recipient and the basis of their authority to consent.

8. AI-generated scripts and recorded voices

Suggested call scripts may be drafted with the assistance of automated tools. These tools do not receive the recipient's name, medication names, dosages, or the reminder text you enter; they draft general wording around placeholders, and the specific details you provide are inserted afterward exactly as you typed them. No script is used on a call until you have reviewed, optionally edited, and explicitly approved it. You are responsible for reviewing each script for accuracy before approval. If you choose to record your own voice for use on calls, you represent that you have the right to provide that recording and consent to its use for the reminders you configure.

9. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (Standard and Plus) are billed monthly in advance through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable, and automatically renew until cancelled. Plus subscribers may add extra recipients as described in Section 2; add-on recipients are billed and renew on the same schedule as your Plus subscription. You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period, and access continues through the end of the period you already paid for, except where applicable law or store policy requires otherwise. Prices are subject to change with advance notice. Each subscription tier includes a maximum number of outbound call attempts per recipient per day and a maximum connected call duration, as described on this page and inside the application; these limits are enforced automatically and calls may be delayed or blocked once a plan's daily allowance is reached.

10. Monthly usage cap

Each account is subject to a monthly usage cap: the underlying phone costs of that account's reminder calls in a calendar month cannot exceed what the account's subscription costs for that month, that is, the price of the account's plan plus any extra recipients, or the price of Plus during a free trial. We notify the account owner inside the application when 70% and 90% of this cap has been reached. Once the cap is reached, reminder calls are paused for the remainder of that calendar month and resume automatically on the 1st of the next month.

11. Restore purchases and entitlement verification

Subscription status is verified using Apple's and Google's server-side purchase verification services. If you reinstall the application or change devices, use the "Restore Purchases" option to reinstate an active subscription. We are not responsible for interruptions in service caused by delays in store-side purchase verification.

12. Voicemail and call handling

If a call is not answered by a person, the Service may leave a brief voicemail message and will disconnect promptly rather than remain connected. Voicemail messages do not include medication names, dosages, or other sensitive details unless you have separately and explicitly enabled that option, and doing so means other people with access to that voicemail box may hear that information. A voicemail is never treated as a confirmed reminder. Depending on your settings and remaining plan allowance, one optional follow-up call may be placed after an unconfirmed attempt.

13. Fair use and service availability

Calls may fail or be delayed due to carrier issues, network conditions, device availability, recipient phone settings, power outages, or other circumstances outside our control. We do not guarantee that any call will be successfully delivered, answered, or confirmed. We reserve the right to suspend or pause outbound calling, including through an emergency global pause, to investigate abuse, unusual usage patterns, or technical issues.

14. Privacy and data handling

We collect the information you provide about yourself and your reminder recipients solely to operate the Service. Sensitive information, including medication details, health-related reminder content, keypad responses, and any voice recording you provide, is encrypted in transit and at rest and is not sold, and is not used for advertising purposes. You may request export or deletion of your data, subject to limited retention periods required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. The Service is not currently represented as HIPAA-compliant.

15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY MISSED, DELAYED, OR UNCONFIRMED REMINDER, OR FOR ANY HEALTH OUTCOME RELATED TO A REMINDER RECIPIENT'S USE OR NON-USE OF MEDICATION. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE SERVICE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR DIRECT CAREGIVING, CLINICAL SUPERVISION, OR EMERGENCY SERVICES.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be presented to you for review before they take effect, and the app records which version you accepted. Continued use of the Service after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms.
